The four of us also took the Hoover Craft tour around Robuck Bay to the dinosaur footprints at low tide. This I would do again, lots of fun, the dinosaur prints are quite different to others we have seen. Also had coffee with Dianne and Allan Telfar in the afternoon which was nice to be able to catch up with them whilst they were in Broome.

From York we headed into Perth via the caravan repairers, to have the gas heater look at. Whilst in Perth we had lunch with Shirley and Brian and Micheal and Loraine, as well as dinner with Mike and Ang. From Perth we went south to Mandurah to visit with Sue and Vic, and a big surprise we had dinner with Lucy and Brian, we haven't ween them in about 3 years, so nice to meet up with friends. From there we went to Manjimup to see the Mottram's, went to visit with Bev and then with her and Phyll we went out to the farm for afternoon tea with David. It was a lovely day.

August in Broome

Hi once again, this is the August blog, I have been a bit slow in getting this post ready but here goes.
At the beginning of August we went to a little beach near Town Beach to photograph the Staircase to the Moon, Stewart, Annette, Marilyn, Ian, John and Wendy (she took the photo), we had a lovely evening with our camera's and friends in the cool Broome weather. Another evening we went and listened to Steve Prigram play at the pool, he was fine, we went with Stewart & Annette.

Camels on Cable Beach
As you may have guessed we had a few more Friday nights watching the camels and sunsets, all manner of wild life to see, Brahming Kites, a Goose with his owners.

On another evening we tried with Stewart and Annette a different beach, Riddell Beach for the sunset, this was really nice also. We have been riding into town and the market on Saturdays for coffee and a bit of shopping. Monday night before Stewart and Annette left we went to Matso for dinner which we enjoyed.

The next Friday we went on our own for sunset on Cable Beach, amazing sunset with all the cloud. Saturday we rode the bikes into Town Beach with Keith, Pat and there friends, we ended up in town as no tables at Town Beach for 9 people. During the week we had Bev and Stuart over on Monday, with John and Wendy on Wednesday evening.

Friday saw us with more visitors, Graham and Anne Ryland (Cell Owners) in for morning tea as they had delivered a new van to clients in Broome, that evening we went with fellow  Cell Owners Club members Allan, Pauline and there friends to see the sunset followed by  fish and chips at the general store.

Karen and David arrived on Sunday, Pam and Chad for drinks on Monday. Tuesday night Alex, Armin, Karen and David for drinks, this was an exciting evening, lots of chatting and drinks when an odd noise from the van, we found that we had a burglar in the van, lucky (ha ha) all he took was my wallet which I had left on our bed. We had the police out that evening and again the next morning, my wallet was found minus the cash 3 vans down in the garden.  Off course the culprit has not be caught.

Wednesday we went Whale watching with Karen and David, just a beautiful afternoon sailing on the ocean looking at the whales and the sunset with good friends.

We went for a drive to Gantheaume Point to see the Osprey nest that had babies in it. Very noisy little babies birds. My new lens came in very useful.

The last night of August we went to the Mangrove Hotel for the Staircase to the Moon with Karen, David and some of their friends that they had meet on the road. We had a nice night the food was ok but I think I like the little beach better.
So for now bye see you all later love Marilyn and Ian
