October to December 2015

Hi to all our family and friends,

We left Perth on the 2nd of October and headed EAST at last after having the gas heater replaced. With a free camp at a favourite spot "Karalee Rock". Our next stop was Frazer Range Station for the night. We continue on our way pulling into Ceduna in SA on the 6th, meeting up with Matthew and Charmaine on they way round the Eyre Peninsula. 2000 km's in 5 days from Perth to Ceduna is quite fast for us.

From Ceduna we kept moving on stopping at Port Augusta then Semaphore in Adelaide for a couple of nights.

From Adeliade we headed down to our friends Kay and John at Langhorne Creek in SA. We had a great drive down through Mt Barker and Strathalbyn to Kay and John's. We had a lovely stay with them visiting wineries. Ian was rapped in John's shed with all his trucks.

Most amazing press
The Bleasdale Winery had the most amazing press and old vats, really a joy to walk round. From Kay and John's place we continued east, we had a ferry crossing on the Murray which was fun. Much smaller ferry than Waikerie, we had lunch at Keith in a favourite cafe there anded up in Horsham a day ahead so stayed  2 nights before going to Lake Fyans for the Cell Rally.

We had a great time in the Grampians with the Cell Owners Club, going up Mount William, looking at gold mines and the Stawell Gift track in Stawell, also went to Great Western to see the old drives for storing and ageing the wine.

We have been visiting mum a bit since we got back, Christmas was at Robert's again this year.  He cooked a beautiful Roast Turkey, Ham (done in Ian's old Webber Kettle) and yummy veggies.

O my look at that our neighbour is a Cell Peninsula
Hows that we got home one day and our neighbour was another Cell, Richard and Maureen from Canberra, fellow Cell Mates, their van had just been repainted on the cone as it had gone with like ours. Our home will get a repaint the first week in February. Ian and I went out to lunch at Burnham Beeches in the Dandenong's, there is a nice cafe call the Piggery, we had a good lunch and drive round the Dandenong's.

We had a good drive back to Melbourne, quite uneventfully for us really. Mum is not to well so that has kept us busy and will for the next month or so couple, we except to be back on the road in March heading to Broome again for the winter.
Lots of love from us both to you all.
Marilyn and Ian
