Broome in June

Hi all you lovely people,
Its great that you like to follow our blog, so I hope you like this one. We are still in Broome WA and enjoying our time.
This month has been very busy for us with friends from Melbourne visiting. Jenny King arrived on the 5th, had a quite afternoon. Friday we went shopping in town, looking at the various galleries, spent the evening watching the sun go down then fish & chips at the store.

Saturday saw the three of us on our bikes on off to the courthouse markets for a look round then coffee and cake in town. The afternoon came and Jenny insisted on a swim at Cable Beach.

Sunday we went for a picnic at James Price Point, on the way we stopped of at Willy Creek Pearl Farm for a look around.

We had lunch on the cliffs then a great walk along the beach taking photos of the water, sand and the Pindan cliffs.

Jenny found 3 buoys so she just had to tow one along the beach.

Jenny left us after a lovely weekend in Broome. We had my bike repaired after the ride on Saturday when the gear cables broke and spent Friday night on Cable Beach. Saturday Pat and Allen Spence arrived and had the site next to us. We had the Mangrove Hotel book for Staircase to the Moon, our friends John and Wendy were joining us so Pat and Allen came as well. We had a cold evening but great moon rise and pizza to finish off.

Monday night Pat and Allen joined us for dinner, Tuesday Sig and Bianka arrived and we had Cell mates that is Cell Caravan Owners over for drinks.

One afternoon Ian and I went to the Port but turn down the road to the fishing club, lovely spot at the Broome entrance, you get a few crocodiles here. Friday night saw the six of us on Cable Beach for sunset and fish and chips at the store. From left to right, Marilyn, Ian, Allen, Pat, Bianka and lets not forget Sig all having a quite one.

Another sunset on Cable Beach, never the same
Sunday night saw us having pre dinner drinks and dinner at site 181, using of towel/table cloths (Xmas press from Robert & Mel, they said towels, I though table cloths) work well as both. saves on weight of beach towels.

We have had a great June with friends, old and new, having done all the usual stuff that is living on the road in our beautiful new home on wheels. Lots of walking riding and yoga to keep ourselves fit (I hope).
Finish of June on Cable Beach
Keep well and happy, next instalment will turn up in August.
Love Marilyn and Ian
