Hi,
Well we have had a quite month of July, lots of coffee, happy hours with friends. Jack and Sandra arrived at the beginning of the month, with Sig and Bianka leaving at the end of the month. We had dinner at Murphy's Irish Pub for Bianka's birthday, curry at Matso's Curry Hut with Jack and Sandra and lots of sunsets and fish and chips on Cable Beach. Ian has been pottering around with the caravan and I have been stitching away on my quilt (long way to go yet). I have also been busy taking more photos, trying to improve on what I have already done. We also meet new friends Paul and Bev, they have a Peninsula also. We went to the Broome Factory which is a group of Broome artists that operate, work and display there work, its really nice lots of lovely stuff. My coffee machine died in June from the love bestowed on it, so we got a new one for $100 in Target which lasted till the end of July when it also stopped steaming, so back it went, we are now without a coffee machine, ahhh!! what to do. Plunger coffee till we get back to Perth I think.

On Friday the 11th. we went on the Eco Beach Resort Cruise. We were picked up at 8 am by bus and of to Gantheaume Point and transferred to the Karma IV catamaran for our cruise. We started the day with coffee, then breakfast of croissants with ham and cheese, muffins, we sailed across Roebuck Bay to Eco Beach for lunch. ( I sound OLD talking about food)

When we arrived we joined the Eco Sustainability Tour which was an interesting tour of the resort, rooms, gardens, solar power plant (it supplies 90% of power used) then we were treated to lunch on the deck by the pool, heaps heaps and heaps of PRAWNS (Ian very happy).

This is the view looking toward Broome from the restaurant. The day was cool, cloudy and windy. After lunch we went for a nice walk along the beach south of the resort while the catamaran took resort guests on a whale watching cruise.

There have been fires up on the Dampier Peninsula (Cape Leveque) you can see the smoke for miles as in the picture below.

On our cruise back to Broome we went Whale Watching, it took quite a while to find some, but when we did the whales did a little entertaining for us.

We were still out on the ocean at sunset, with clouds and smoke the sunset was spectacular. Glad we weren't on the Intombi Pearl Lugger for the sunset cruise, it was moored at Gantheaume Point, the passengers taking photo's of us passing, the True North was also at ancher with lots of people onboard.
